Lawn and Garden Equipment Program
The 2025 round of the District's Lawn and Garden Voucher Program opens January 15. 2025 and is open until February 14, 2025 at 4:30pm. We're taking applications for both Residential and Commercial-grade vouchers. Eligible applicants will be sent vouchers while funding lasts. If funding is used up, applications from this application period will be held on a waitlist in order of submittal. For more information, see the Press Release and Program Flyer.
Choose below between the Residential or Commercial vouchers. If you're dropping off applications at the District office, note that the District office is closed on Mondays and in the afternoon but there is a mail slot for applications.
For Butte County residents, there are two ways to apply for a voucher to reduce the cost of replacing your existing equipment with zero-emission equipment:
1. Complete the Residential Lawn and Garden Program Application Form and email, mail, or drop off at the District office.

What Is The Process:
- Apply for one or more vouchers using the options above and submit to BCAQMD (at office or email to snassie@bcaqmd.org) with a photo of equipment.
- If approved, BCAQMD will issue you a voucher for each piece of equipment to be replaced.
- Turn in your voucher to the Participating Merchant of your choice and they will reduce the purchase price of the new equipment by the voucher amount.
- Before receiving the new equipment, the replaced equipment must be scrapped in coordination with the Participating Merchant.
Entities eligible for Commercial Lawn and Garden Program vouchers can complete the Commercial Lawn and Garden Program Application Form and return it to the District by mail, email, or by dropping off at the District office.

Looking to purchase new zero-emission equipment without replacing older combustion equipment? Small businesses and sole-proprietors may be eligible for vouchers from the California CORE Program.
