Prescribed Burning

Current Prescribed Burn Projects:
A map of authorized agency-administered prescribed burns is located here. Smaller prescribed burn projects and pile burn projects conducted by contractors and landowners are not shown on this map.
Monday, December 22nd: If rain doesn't interfere, small pile burning at Butte Creek Ecological Preserve will continue this week, along with several other small burn projects in the foothills.
The Butte County Fire Safe Council has currently paused their pile burning project in Cohasset in partnership with private contractors. We will update this page when the projects are again active.
Also currently on pause are CAL FIRE's pile burning along Doe Mill Road in Forest Ranch and in Oroville at the Loafer Creek Recreation area on the "Phoenix" project, which is located near Hurleton, east of Oroville. Burn projects conducted by CAL FIRE in Paradise are also currently on hold. We will update this page when the projects are again active.
